Educational and Informational Purposes Only

Information provided on MilTechRV.net is intended primarily for general educational and informational purposes.

MilTech RV provides information designed to help RV owners better understand recreational vehicles, RV systems, maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, ownership responsibilities, and common repair concerns.

Information provided on this website should not be considered a diagnosis of a particular RV or component unless MilTech RV has personally inspected or diagnosed that specific RV and provided findings directly to the customer.

Every RV is different. Component manufacturers, installation methods, modifications, prior repairs, age, condition, environment, maintenance history, and other circumstances can substantially affect the correct diagnostic or repair procedure.

DIY Repair and Safety Notice

Working on an RV may expose you to significant hazards, including:

  • 120-volt electrical power
  • 12-volt DC electrical systems
  • High-current and lithium battery systems
  • Propane / LP gas
  • Carbon monoxide
  • Refrigerants
  • Pressurized plumbing and hot water
  • Moving slide and leveling mechanisms
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Roof fall hazards
  • Heavy and rotating equipment
  • Generator and vehicle chassis systems
Safety first: Never attempt a procedure you are not comfortable performing safely. When in doubt, stop and contact a qualified RV technician or other appropriate professional.

MilTech RV is not responsible for injuries, property damage, equipment damage, fire, electrical shock, gas leaks, water damage, or other losses resulting from a person's attempt to perform work based solely on general information presented on this website.

Propane and Electrical Safety

RV propane and electrical systems can create serious hazards when improperly serviced. If you suspect a propane leak, burning electrical components, electrical arcing, overheating wiring, carbon monoxide, smoke, fire, or severely damaged batteries, move to a safe location when appropriate and seek qualified assistance.

For an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services.

No Technician-Customer Relationship Created by Website Use

Visiting MilTechRV.net, reading educational material, watching videos, contacting us through a website form, commenting on content, or communicating through social media does not automatically establish a technician-customer relationship.

A service relationship is established only after MilTech RV accepts a service request or appointment and any required authorization, agreement, estimate, or payment requirements have been completed.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that MilTech RV will accept or perform the requested work.

Remote, Telephone, and Video Consultation

MilTech RV may provide telephone or video consultations to help RV owners understand a problem or determine possible next steps.

Without physically inspecting an RV, MilTech RV may be unable to identify:

  • Hidden damage
  • Loose connections
  • Intermittent problems
  • Water intrusion
  • Structural damage
  • Wiring defects
  • Improper previous repairs
  • Gas leaks
  • Component deterioration
  • Conditions not visible through photographs or video

Remote guidance should therefore be considered preliminary unless otherwise stated. A physical inspection or diagnostic appointment may be necessary before the cause of a problem can be confirmed.

Estimates and Diagnostic Information

An estimate provided before physical diagnosis is based on the information available at that time.

Actual repair requirements may change after:

  • Inspection or testing
  • Disassembly
  • Access to concealed components
  • Discovery of previous repairs
  • Identification of additional damage
  • Manufacturer troubleshooting
  • Parts verification

An estimate is not a guarantee that the initially suspected component is the only problem. RV systems frequently contain multiple interconnected components, and one failure may mask another.

MilTech RV will obtain customer authorization before performing additional work beyond the agreed scope when authorization is required.

RV Inspection Disclaimer

MilTech RV provides RV inspection services intended to document the condition and operation of accessible RV systems at the time of inspection.

Unless specifically stated otherwise in the applicable inspection agreement, inspections are visual and non-invasive.

An inspection is not a guarantee or warranty regarding the RV's future condition, reliability, safety, value, or remaining service life.

Conditions that may not be discoverable during a normal inspection include:

  • Concealed structural damage
  • Hidden water intrusion
  • Intermittent electrical faults
  • Internal component failures
  • Conditions behind walls, floors, ceilings, cabinetry, insulation, or underbelly material
  • Problems occurring only under specific environmental or operating conditions
  • Defects intentionally concealed by another party
  • Future component failures

Pre-Purchase Inspections

A MilTech RV pre-purchase inspection is intended to provide a prospective purchaser with additional information concerning the observable condition of an RV. MilTech RV does not determine whether a customer should purchase a particular RV.

The final purchase decision, negotiation, valuation, financing decision, warranty decision, and acceptance of risk remain with the customer.

Annual and Maintenance Inspections

An annual or maintenance inspection represents the observable condition of the RV at the time the inspection is performed. Passing or satisfactory operation during an inspection does not eliminate the possibility of future failure.

Owner Education

MilTech RV owner education is intended to help RV owners understand the operation, care, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of their RV. Educational instruction does not certify the participant as an RV technician and does not replace manufacturer-specific technical training.

Products, Parts, and Customer-Supplied Components

MilTech RV may discuss or recommend products, replacement parts, tools, RV accessories, maintenance products, safety equipment, and other items.

Before purchasing or installing a product, customers should verify:

  • Manufacturer compatibility
  • Model and serial number
  • Voltage and amperage
  • Physical dimensions
  • Weight capacity
  • Connection type
  • Application and installation requirements

MilTech RV is not responsible for a customer's independent purchase of an incorrect or incompatible product based solely on general website information.

Customer-Supplied Parts

MilTech RV does not provide a parts warranty for customer-supplied components. Any warranty covering a customer-supplied component remains between the customer and the manufacturer, retailer, or seller of that component.

Additional diagnostic or replacement labor may be chargeable when a customer-supplied part is defective, incorrect, incompatible, incomplete, improperly manufactured, or missing required installation components.

Service Results and Warranties

Service Results

MilTech RV cannot guarantee that every RV problem can be diagnosed or repaired during a single service visit. Intermittent problems, multiple failures, inaccessible components, unavailable parts, manufacturer support requirements, warranty requirements, previous modifications, and other circumstances may require additional diagnostic or service appointments.

Manufacturer Warranties

Products installed by MilTech RV may carry warranties provided by their respective manufacturers. MilTech RV does not control manufacturer approval, reimbursement, replacement decisions, processing time, shipping, or warranty eligibility.

MilTech RV Labor Warranty

Unless a different written warranty applies, MilTech RV's standard limited labor warranty is 30 days.

The labor warranty does not generally cover problems caused by:

  • Different or unrelated component failures
  • Customer misuse
  • Accidental damage
  • Water intrusion unrelated to the repair
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Customer-supplied defective parts
  • Unauthorized modification
  • Work performed by another party after MilTech RV's repair

No Guarantee of Future Performance

An RV system functioning properly when inspected, tested, diagnosed, or repaired may fail later. RV components are subject to age, vibration, temperature, moisture, road conditions, electrical conditions, manufacturing defects, maintenance history, and normal wear.
