When Your RV Won't Stay Comfortable, Start With Proper Testing

A no-cool A/C or no-heat furnace can have several possible causes. Thermostats, control circuits, power problems, capacitors, motors, airflow restrictions and other components can create similar symptoms. We diagnose the system before recommending parts whenever practical.

RV Air Conditioner Diagnostics & Repair

We troubleshoot rooftop RV air conditioners for cooling, starting, cycling, airflow and electrical problems.

  • Unit will not start
  • Starts and stops unexpectedly
  • Fan runs but air is not cold
  • Weak airflow
  • Breaker trips
  • Capacitor, motor and control issues

RV Furnace Diagnostics & Repair

We troubleshoot RV furnaces for ignition, airflow, electrical-control and heating problems.

  • Furnace will not start
  • Blower runs but burner will not ignite
  • Starts and shuts down
  • Insufficient heat or airflow
  • Thermostat/control concerns
  • 12-volt power problems
Common Symptoms

Problems We Can Help Diagnose

A/C Problems

Not cooling, compressor not starting, short cycling, unusual noises, weak airflow or electrical problems.

Furnace Problems

Blower without heat, failure to ignite, unexpected shutdown, poor airflow or inconsistent heating.

Control Problems

Thermostat issues, intermittent operation, breakers, fuses, 12-volt supply and related controls.

Important: Similar symptoms can have different causes. A service appointment begins with diagnosis rather than assuming a particular part has failed.
The MilTech RV Approach

Diagnose. Explain. Repair. Educate.

Replacing an A/C or furnace component based only on a symptom can waste time and money. Our process starts by testing the system and gathering evidence.

Once we identify the likely cause, we explain what we found and discuss the appropriate next step before additional authorized repairs are completed.

1. Diagnose
Test power, controls, operation and accessible components.
2. Explain
Review findings and repair options in plain language.
3. Repair
Complete authorized repairs using appropriate parts and procedures.
4. Educate
Explain system operation, maintenance and what to watch for.
