Mobile RV Appliance Service

RV Appliance Repair & Diagnostics

When an RV appliance stops working, the problem may be the appliance itself — or the 12V, 120V, LP, control, ventilation or power-supply system supporting it. MilTech RV diagnoses the cause before recommending parts.

Common Appliance Problems

Symptoms We Can Help Diagnose

The symptom is the starting point — not the diagnosis. Similar symptoms can be caused by very different failures.

No Power

Blank display, dead controls or an appliance that will not turn on.

Intermittent Operation

Works sometimes, shuts down unexpectedly, resets or changes behavior under load.

Poor Performance

Refrigerator not cold enough, dryer not drying well or appliance operating below normal performance.

Breaker or Fuse Problems

Repeated breaker trips, blown fuses or apparent power loss during operation.

Error Codes

Fault codes, warning lights or unexpected control-panel messages.

LP Ignition Concerns

Applicable appliance fails to ignite, repeatedly attempts ignition or will not remain operating on LP.

What We Test

Diagnosis Before Parts

Our diagnostic approach follows the power source, control path and operating conditions the appliance depends on.

Power Supply

12V DC and 120V AC supply, accessible connections, fuses, breakers and related power conditions.

Controls & Sensors

Accessible control boards, switches, thermostats, thermistors and fault indications where applicable.

Heating & Ignition Components

Accessible heating elements, igniters and related operating components where applicable.

Ventilation & Airflow

Refrigerator ventilation and other airflow concerns that can affect appliance performance.

Water & Drain Connections

Accessible water-supply and drainage conditions for laundry and selected specialty appliances.

Operating Conditions

We compare the reported complaint with what the appliance actually does during testing.

An Appliance Problem May Not Be an Appliance Failure.

Low voltage, weak 12V supply, a tripped breaker, poor connection, incorrect ventilation or an LP-related issue can create symptoms that look like a failed appliance.

Our Diagnostic Process

Diagnose. Explain. Authorize. Repair.

You should know what we found before additional repair work moves forward.

1 — Diagnose

Verify the complaint and test the appliance plus supporting systems.

2 — Explain

Review test results, likely cause and reasonable repair options.

3 — Authorize

Additional repair labor and parts proceed after customer authorization.

4 — Repair & Verify

Complete authorized work and verify operation when conditions allow.

RV Appliance FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What RV appliances does MilTech RV diagnose?

We provide mobile diagnosis for many installed RV household appliances, including refrigerators, microwaves and convection microwaves, ranges, cooktops, ovens, washer/dryer systems and selected specialty appliances when the unit and service components are accessible.

My RV refrigerator freezer is cold but the refrigerator section is warm. Can you diagnose that?

Yes. That symptom can involve airflow, ventilation, operating conditions, controls or other refrigerator-system issues. We diagnose the cause rather than assuming a specific component has failed.

Do you work on both electric and LP RV refrigerators?

We can diagnose accessible electrical, control, ventilation and LP-mode operating concerns on applicable RV refrigerators. Repair scope depends on the refrigerator design, condition, accessibility and required parts.

Can you diagnose a microwave that has no power?

Yes. Diagnosis may include the RV breaker, outlet, 120V supply and other accessible power conditions before determining whether the microwave itself requires repair or replacement.

Do you repair RV ovens and cooktops?

We can diagnose accessible ignition, control, electrical and operating problems. LP-related work is limited to safe, accessible mobile-service work.

Do you service RV washer and dryer systems?

We can provide initial mobile diagnosis for accessible power, controls, water supply, drainage and operating concerns. Some internal appliance repairs may require an appliance specialist or shop setting.

Why do you charge diagnostic time before giving a repair price?

Many appliance symptoms can be caused by power, wiring, controls, LP supply, ventilation or the appliance itself. Testing first helps avoid replacing parts based only on symptoms.

Can I provide my own replacement part?

Customer-supplied parts may be installed in some situations after compatibility and repair scope are reviewed. Customer-supplied parts do not carry a MilTech RV parts warranty.

Do you repair RV air conditioners, furnaces and water heaters on this service?

Those systems are serviced by MilTech RV, but they use dedicated service pages because their diagnostic procedures are different.

What should I send before scheduling appliance service?

Send your RV year, make and model, location, appliance brand/model/serial number when available, a description of the problem, and photos or fault codes that may help us prepare.

Need Appliance Diagnostics?

Tell Us What the Appliance Is — and What It Is Doing.

Include the RV year, make, model and location along with the appliance brand, model number, symptoms, photos and any fault codes you have.
